2010 Baby Bird Show 25 September, 2010

The excellent tradition of MASCOT's Baby Bird Show continued as six contestants entered 55 birds in our 2010 Baby Bird Show held in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Akabar Karbasi, Gino Salvi and Jeanne Pieper led the way with the top three birds chosen by the audience of MASCOT's members and guests. To find these three winning birds we grouped all the entires into 6 large classes for 12 minute song sessions.   The audience discussed the merits of the birds in each class and agreed by consensus on the first place bird.  At the end of the day, we brought back the six first place birds for an encore presentation.  It was from that final class of six birds that we chose the top three.  The birds did not disappoint.  All six sang throughout the entire session making the choice for the audience a difficult one.  The victors won prizes of Quiko Eggfood, ABBA Seed, Crushed Oyster Shells and Avian Vitamins. We thank all who participated in and visited  today's event.  Special thanks are in order for Aji and Dodi Sunjaya who made the long drive from Waldorf, MD and also joined MASCOT as new members.  We welcome them to our club and look forward to seeing them at future club events.
