Northern Ohio American Singer Club
(Chapter 32)
Sandusky, Ohio
10 October 2009
MASCOT membersTad Rykojc, Andre Dight and Mark Bange traveled to Sandusky, Ohio to compete in Chapter 32's American Singer show.  With contestants largely from the Midwest chapters and Eastern chapters present, the show had the feel of a national event.  Judge Jeanne Pieper of Maryland listened to more than 220 singers divided into 30 classes entered by 20 contestants.  She chose a young bird bred by Saoud Rihan of the Bronx, New York as the best in show.  Saoud also took second place with an old bird.  Tad, Mark and Andre each reached the top bench with their entries.  This was Andre's first trip to the bench, so kudos are due to him.

Special recognition is also deserved by MASCOT's Jeanne Pieper who diligently assessed such a large number of entries during 11.5 straight hours of judging.

Each of the MASCOT participants express their gratitude and appreciation to the members of Chapter 32 who were  inviting and gracious hosts.  Additional thanks go to Roger and Kathy Stroman, and Shirley and Marshall Searles for their hard work in organizing and running a top notch ASC event.
