Picnic 2010

The amazing thing about MASCOT picnics is the guaranteed rainfall on the date of our event.  But the other amazing thing is that we manage to fire up the grill despite the weather and we still have a wonderful time.  This year we watched a video compilation of photos from various 2009 ASC Chapter shows.  Also, Tad gave us brief quiz on how to prepare a show cage.  He awarded show cage perches to those with the right answers.  Paula entertained us nicely with a mini-concert on the piano.  Then, when the rain stopped Nancy and Mark teamed to beat Mark's son Adam and son-in-law Chris in horseshoes 21 to 12 -- thanks mostly to Nancy's three ringers during the game.  The boys never knew what hit them.  Of course the food was good and the bird talk was interesting and informative.  Thanks to all the members, family and friends who joined us.   It was a very nice day.
